Talking tax changes with farmers

Director Warren Hadlow was invited to talk to members of the Western Holstein Club at Bidlea Dairy and share his expertise on Inheritance Tax (IHT) and navigating the impact of the 2024 Autumn Budget on the farming community.

Stripping the topic back to the basics, Warren covered some of the IHT rules and gifting principles such as why, when, and how to make a gift to loved ones. Director Tom Hadlow also stepped in to speak to the audience about the direct impact that the 2024 Autumn Budget would have on their IHT liabilities in the future when the changes come into effect from April 2026.

The attendees were keen to ask questions on this hot topic and many were intrigued by the gifting and protection options that they had not known were available to them.
