Supporting charitable causes is a meaningful part of who we are. We believe in giving back to the communities we serve and making a positive impact where it’s needed most. Whether through fundraising, volunteering, or direct donations, our team is proud to support a range of important causes.
From local initiatives to national charities, we’re committed to helping organisations that align with our values and make a real difference in people’s lives. This page highlights some of the charities we support and the stories behind our involvement.
Hadlow Edwards have teamed up with local charity, Nightingale House Hospice, to run an annual photography competition for their company calendar. Open to budding photographers, we search each year for 12 unique photographs that encapsulate a chosen theme.
We are always inundated with fantastic entries, and our judges have their work cut out in choosing the winners. In 2025, the winners and guests had the opportunity to view their images in a specially curated exhibition at the Hospice where they were presented with a copy of the calendar and a prize.
Kara Lindsay, corporate partnerships officer at Nightingale House, said: “We were delighted to host the special viewing. The photographs are so beautiful and uplifting. The support of local businesses means the world to us, so we were delighted to partner with Hadlow Edwards on this initiative.”
The calendars are available to purchase in the Nightingale House Gift Shop over the Christmas and New Year period with all proceeds going towards the charity. Each year, members of our team head out to the local schools to put on their best Deborah Meaden impressions for the Year 10s and 11s as their Dragons. The pupils team up and are given £10 to start their fundraising idea and pitch their idea to a panel of dragons as part of their Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification.
Our Staff members have a great time getting involved and helping local students as well as supporting a great cause for Hope House Children’s Hospice.
For a number of years now, Hadlow Edwards have made the choice to donate to charities and community projects in lieu of client Christmas Cards. Each year, the team have collected cold weather sleeping bags, toiletries, simple mobile phones, and basic hygiene items for the Wrexham Outreach Team who are a huge help to those who sleep rough on the streets of Wrexham.
Fiona Clarke, Marketing Specialist, was fortunate enough to hear first hand about the impact these items make:
“It was humbling to hear about the great work that the Wrexham Outreach Team do to help. They don’t just make the short term slightly easier, but they support people for the long term by helping them to get back into housing if they wish. You can tell that the community has the highest respect for Matt, Sian, and everyone else that volunteers their time.”
This initiative reflects our commitment to giving back and supporting vulnerable members of our community. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the hard work of Wrexham Outreach Team who make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
Advisers Richard Hadlow Powell and Ryan Hughes headed to Vision Support’s Low Vision Roadshow at Ellesmere Port’s Civic Hall, an event raising awareness and providing support for people living with sight loss. The roadshow brought together specialists, businesses, charities, and members of the community to share tech innovations, practical solutions, and advice that help make everyday life more accessible for those with low vision.
As financial advisers, we understand that planning for the future can feel especially challenging when living with health conditions or disabilities. Attending the roadshow gave us the opportunity to engage directly with attendees, offering reassurance and guidance on how tailored financial advice can help provide security, confidence, and independence.
The event also gave us the chance to connect with other professionals and learn more about the real-life experiences of those living with low vision.
We headed to Liverpool for a charity evening supporting Greenbank Charity which is an incredible initiative that allows those with disabilities to access sports that they might not have access to elsewhere.
We heard from the talented Paralympians that this charity helped in building confidence and supporting on their road to the top, including 9x Paralympic champion, Hannah Cockroft, World class wheelchair basketballer, Abdi Jama, and Powerchair Football World Cup finalist, Marcus Harrison.
We also heard from our sponsor, Nathan, who spoke about the amazing part that the charity has played in encouraging him that a sports career was possible.
It was a very insightful evening for us to be a part of.
